You may have heard about the Miele brand and are interested because of the quality vacuums that they offer. When you saw the prices, you might have decided that these vacuums are just too expensive.

There is a mid-range option for a canister vacuum from Miele – the S4210 Carina. But will it be as good as the Miele name promises?

For less than $400 you can get a Miele vacuum. This is one of the least expensive models that they offer, but it still has great suction and should last for years to come.

One thing that you want in any vacuum is the ability to clean quickly and efficiently. The Miele S4210 does that.

Picks up everything!!

A lot of vacuums claim to be super powerful and the Carina is really powerful with 1200 watts, but it can clean those delicate items when you dial down the suction.

This will allow you to dust off the knick knacks on the shelf without breaking them. Look what one Amazon reviewer was able to clean with her Carina.

For the first time ever I was able to clean my valances without taking them down, what a huge time and energy saver.

Vacuuming is usually loud, but with Miele vacuums, you can vacuum night or day without disturbing the whole house.

It’s very quiet – so quiet that my cat didn’t run from the room!

There are reports of Miele vacuums being around for more than 20 years, so they are going to be a good investment. You may be wondering what is wrong this machine (because otherwise everone would have one).

The only thing that the Carina is not going to be great for is thick carpets. If you have an area rug or two, the Carina can tackle it, but it is going to work best on hard floors.

You will be very disappointed if you buy this vacuum thinking it will clean carpets.

It is OK for use on a floor, we have salito tile and it works OK. But on low pile carpeting it was incredibly hard work pushing the vacuum around.

Is Carina A Shooting Star?

If you have a lot of carpet, then the Miele : S4210 Carina Canister Vacuum Cleaner this is not going to be the machine for you. If you want a Miele Carina, try the Antares, which is more expensive.

If your budget won’t allow it, you might want to try a Dyson vacuum, which is in the same price class as the Carina.
