Rainbow E2 Series Vacuum Cleaner Review

Typically, Rainbow vacuums are sold door to door, but you can get them online now, which means that they are even more accessible to people.

There are several things that you might notice that are different about the Rainbow E2. The first thing that you will probably notice is the price. At over $1000, you are going to expect the vacuum to be really good at what it does.

The second thing that you will notice is that the vacuum uses water to vacuum. Instead of the dirt and dust getting sucked into a canister or a bag, it is going to get sucked into a canister of water, so that none of it can escape back out of vacuum cleaner.

The Rainbow E2 is a different vacuum. The water canister that it uses makes every little particle of dust that gets sucked into the machine stay there.

This is great especially if you have bad air in your house from a smoker, pets or food smells, because the vacuum is going to actually freshen the air.

Vacuumed dirt gets trapped in the water basin and it’s true there is no dust of any kind that comes out of the exhaust.

In addition to the water tank, the Rainbow E2 also has a HEPA filter to make the air fresher. If you have asthma, you won’t have to worry about your vacuum aggravating it.

I’ve had asthma for over 50 years. The Rainbow is the ONLY vacuum I can use without having asthma attacks.

Pets are difficult to clean up after, but the E2 does it with ease. You are going to be able to see all of the dirt that they track in and their fur in the water tank.

We have 2 big, shedding dogs. I have bought the most pricey Hoovers and Bissells, but none would get rid of that dog smell or fur. The Rainbow purifies the air (also deodorizes) as it vacuums.

The E2 uses water to keep the air clean, and water is very heavy. If you want a light vacuum, this is not going to be the machine for you.

It is heavy as a bulldozer. Imagine hauling it up and down the stairs.

The biggest drawbacks to me are that it’s HEAVY, cumbersome, hard to maneuver….and NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

Is The E2 The Pot Of Gold At The End Of Your Rainbow?

If you have severe asthma and can’t vacuum with any vacuum cleaner, the Rainbow E2 might be the perfect one for you. If this doesn’t describe you, the Rainbow is going to be more difficult to use than a regular vacuum.

There are several different options. One of them is the Kirby Sentria, which is in the same price range. Although this is an upright vacuum cleaner, it is going to have excellent suction.

If you want to spend a bit less money, check out Oreck vacuums. These uprights are going to be lighter and easier to use and some of them are even endorsed as being asthma friendly.
