The following Amazon Review says it all about the Capricorn.

“Long-term investment. You might get sick of a Miele vacuum before it breaks on you.”

With this canister vacuum, you are going to love that you won’t be bending over a lot to change settings on the machine.

“Most of controls are on the handle – they are well laid out and electronically activated.”

If you pay a lot of money for a cleaner, you probably expect that it is going to be different from average vacuums. The Capricorn is different from most vacuums because it is super quiet.

With a HEPA filter, you know that your vacuum is cleaning your air. The Capricorn takes clean air a step further with the dustbags. You don’t need to go outside to change the dustbag because there is a flap that is going to seal the used bag automatically when you take it off of the vacuum, eliminating the dust from getting into the air. Here is what one reviewer has to say about the bags.

They’re soft and flexible nonwoven fiber lined with foiled plastic, and they’re very easy to install. When the “bag full” indicator comes on, the bags are very easily removable, and they automatically self-seal for disposal.

The attachments that come with the Capricorn are what you would find on any quality vacuum, but using them is going to be easy. They are stored on the base of the machine, so you are never going to have to look for them.

One of the best discoveries has been the ease with which you can swap out the floor heads for brushes you can use to clean up high (shelves, drapes, light fixtures).

The Miele Capricorn can be summed up by this Amazon Review:

I have never had one problem with my vacuum. Vacuuming is never fun, but when you have a good vacuum, it becomes a lot less stressful of a task.

Is The Capricorn Your Star?

If you can afford it, by all means, the Miele Capricorn is going to be a great canister vacuum.

The only better vacuum is going to be another Miele. Anything in the Galaxy series (which the Capricorn is in) is going to be a good cleaner for your floors.

I have a 6 year old similar Miele with the power turbo brush. That head is the key to cleaning carpets with a Miele. I couldn’t believe I was spending so much on a vacuum cleaner, but I don’t like using crappy tools, and it has already lasted longer than the previous $500 machine I had. Every week, I am reminded that I am glad I spent the money. When I have to use someone else’s machine, I now notice how cheap it feels compared to the Miele. Other brands typically are much louder, don’t roll as well and have very leaky hose connections. The Miele is so solid. I have realized I am very spoiled to be using such a machine. Since purchasing my first, I bought a low-end model for cleaning our musty car, our basement, and other people’s houses. It works just as well but without as many features. Two friends have since purchased Mieles and have been very pleased. I don’t think you would regret the decision. You know the saying, “You get what you pay for.”
