Vacuum cleaners are getting cheaper and cheaper every year. This isn’t necessarily a good thing, because sometimes quality is sacrificed.

At less than $60, the Dirt Devil M084505 is an inexpensive bagless upright vacuum cleaner, but is it also cheap?

Dirt Devil Extreme Quick Vac Upright Vacuum Cleaner Specification:

  • Type of Vacuum: Upright
  • Model: M084505
  • Power: 1220 Watts
  • Filter: HEPA filtration
  • Dust Collection: Easy empty dirt cup
  • Attachments: On-board hose, upholstery tool, dusting brush and crevice tool
  • Warranty: Two year warranty

You might not expect much from such a cheap vacuum, but you are definitely going to be surprised.

The first thing that is going to shock you is that such an inexpensive machine has a HEPA filter. If you don’t think that a HEPA filter is important, just wait until you have to vacuum your house with the windows closed. Then you are going to be able to tell whether or not your vacuum has a HEPA filter.

The Dirt Devil Extreme Quick Vac Bagless is also very easy to use. You won’t have to mess around to empty the dirt cup. And because it has a dirt cup instead of a bag, you won’t have to invest any more money into this vacuum cleaner. One reviewer said these positive things about this vacuum.

“More cleaning power than expected. Easy clean of dirt cup.”

This vacuum is light enough that it is going to be a great tool in cleaning. At less than 14 pounds, you are going to be able to carry this vacuum up and down stairs easily, which makes it great for a townhouse or any house that has carpet on both floors.

The next reason that this vacuum is a steal is because it comes with a 2 year warranty. There aren’t that many sub-$100 vacuums that offer such a long warranty period.

On-board tools are going to be a plus for any vacuum, because it makes them easier to use. The Dirt Devil Extreme Quick Vac Bagless Upright makes short work of your vacuuming with these tools.

Sure, with other vacuums you are going to get more tools, but for the price, you can always find the tools that you want and purchase them separately.

What you might not like about this vacuum is that it feels a bit cheap. It might just be because it is so light, but the vacuum might not live as long as you would want a vacuum to last.

However, if you calculate it out, the vacuum is going to cost less than $30 a year if it only lasts for the two year warranty period.

Is This Dirt Devil Extreme Enough?

For the value, you aren’t going to find a better deal for a normal sized upright vacuum than the Dirt Devil M084505 Extreme. In fact, buying a decent hand vac or stick vac is going to set you back this much money.

At less than $100, you probably don’t expect much from your vacuum cleaner. Why? Because it is so cheap. At less than $70, you are probably going to hope that it works for just a couple of months to get your money’s worth.

The Dirt Devil M088160RED Breeze Bagless Upright Vacuum  is less than $70 and you may be wondering whether or not it is going to be your next vacuum. With a 4 star Amazon.com rating, you may be wondering if the Breeze Upright is too good to be true.

Dirt Devil Breeze Bagless Upright Vacuum Specifications:

  • Model Number: M082500
  • Type of Vacuum: Upright
  • Power: 1440 Watts
  • Filter: MicroFresh filter
  • Cleaning Path: 13 inches wide
  • Dust Collection: Easy empty dirt cup
  • Attachments: Stretch hose, upholstery brush, dusting brush, crevice tool and extension wand
  • Warranty: Two year warranty

With a lot of vacuum cleaners you are going to wonder how they are so heavy.  The Dirt Devil M088160RED Breeze Bagless Upright Vacuum is relatively light, weighing only 12.5 pounds. This means that you won’t struggle to get it where you want to go.

With 1440 watts of power, you are going to be able to suck up tiny pieces of debris and dirt from the thickest carpet.  And because it automatically adjusts the height of the cleaning head, you can go from carpet to hard flooring easily.

Another great thing that you wouldn’t expect for a sub $75 vacuum is that the tools are all on board, making them easy to use whenever you want.

Here is what one Amazon.com reviewer had to say about her Dirt Devil Breeze.

“Great suction, light, easy to setup, and easy to empty.”

So far, it seems like the Dirt Devil is going to be the vacuum that you can trust. The only one problem that is mentioned more than once is the way that the air comes out of the vacuum.

For most vacuum cleaners, it comes out the sides of the vacuum, but for the Dirt Devil M088160RED Breeze Bagless Upright Vacuum, it comes out the front making it difficult to vacuum up anything on hard flooring or short carpet because it scatters across the floor. Here is what one Amazon.com reviewer had to say.

“Strong air output blows directly in path of vacuum, making it impossible to vac anything up, on tile, hardwood, or any smooth surface. This product is engineered to be useless!”

Another thing that you probably won’t like about the Breeze Upright Bagless Vacuum is that it doesn’t have a HEPA filter.  When you replace the filter, you can always upgrade it to a HEPA, but that is going to cost nearly half the price of the vacuum cleaner.

Is The Breeze A Breath Of Fresh Air?

For the price, you really can’t go wrong with the Dirt Devil M088160RED Breeze Bagless Upright Vacuum, unless you are planning on vacuuming a lot of hard flooring.  For $60, you get a two year warranty, which means that this vacuum is going to be an inexpensive, but long lasting vacuum.
