How much should a good vacuum cleaner cost? If you have a certain budget for your next vacuum cleaner, by doing research you should be able to find a machine that will work for you.

The Bissell PowerForce Turbo Bagless Upright Vacuum costs just less than $300, so it is pretty expensive for a regular vacuum cleaner.

Is it going to be worth it?

Bissell PowerForce Turbo Bagless Upright Vacuum Specifications:

  • Type of Vacuum: Upright
  • Power: 1440 Watts
  • Filter: 3 Stage with HEPA filtration
  • Dust Collection: Easy empty dirt cup
  • Attachments: On-board deluxe stretch hose, upholstery/dusting brush, crevice tool and extension wand
  • Warranty: One year warranty

The one thing that is great about the Bissell 6596 PowerForce Turbo  is that it has a great filtration system.   There are three different filters in this machine (2 of which are washable), so you won’t have to worry about a lot of dust and dirt coming back out of the machine. Here is what one reviewer had to say about the filter system and how it worked for her.

“It has three filtration methods which is good for me because I have asthma.”

With over 1400 watts of power and five different carpet settings, you are going to be able to get up the deepest of dirt. Right out of the box, you are going to get great suction and probably end up vacuuming up cup fulls of dirt, hair and dust.

The attachments are going to work well, and it even comes with a Turbo Brush, making cleaning up small messes easier than ever. The attachments are stored on the machine itself, making it easy to use them, but more difficult to move the vacuum cleaner up and down stairs.

There are a lot of bad things about this machine. The first is the price. For a $300 vacuum cleaner, you would expect a lot more. With only a one year warranty, there isn’t much protection for you, either.

The second thing that a lot of Amazon.com users report is that the PowerForce tends to lose power very quickly and gets all clogged up. The filters are washable, but washing vacuum filters is dirty work and something that you probably don’t ever want to do, let alone every time that you vacuum. Here is what one Amazon.com reviewer said about the machine.

“It worked for a period of about 5 months and despite cleaning the filters on a regular basis it became hopelessly clogged.”

Does The PowerForce Have The Power To Persuade You?

For the price, this is not going to be a machine that you want. If it were a third of the price, the Bissell PowerForce Turbo Bagless Upright Vacuum would still be expensive for the durability issues that it faces.
